About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • Fresh panfish fillets (bluegill, crappie, or similar)

  • Louisiana Fish Fry breading

  • Old Bay Seasoning

  • Garlic salt

  • Peanut oil (for frying)

Preparation

  1. Season fillets with garlic salt and Old Bay.

  2. Coat thoroughly in Louisiana Fish Fry breading.

  3. Heat peanut oil to 350°F in a cast iron skillet or fryer.

  4. Fry fillets 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

  5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
