About the Recipe

Ingredients
2–3 pounds catfish fillets
3 slices of bacon
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 cup onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
2 cups potatoes, peeled and chopped
1/2 bag frozen okra
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp thyme
2 bay leaves
1/8 tsp liquid smoke
Cajun shake seasoning
Garlic salt
Preparation
Cut the catfish fillets into pieces and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and garlic salt.
Cut three pieces of bacon and cook in a pot.
Add the celery, onion, and peppers and cook them in the bacon drippings, 2 min.
Add one cup of water.
Add the tomatoes.
Add the potatoes.
Add Worcestershire, bay leaves, salt, pepper, thyme, and liquid smoke.
Cook 20 min.
Add fish and okra.
Cook 20–30 min.
Serve with cornbread.
