Crawfish Boil

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • Several lbs fresh crawfish (live)

  • 2 bulbs of garlic

  • 4 lemons

  • 2 large onions

  • 1 large pkg fresh mushrooms

  • 1 bag small red potatoes

  • Fresh corn on the cob (2–4 pieces)

  • 1 pkg Andouille sausage

  • Crawfish boil seasoning

Preparation

  1. Slice garlic bulbs in half.

  2. Slice onions and lemons in half.

  3. Shuck corn and break pieces in half.

  4. Slice sausage into bite-sized pieces.

  5. Pour crawfish boil seasoning into a large pot of water and heat to boiling.

  6. Rinse (purge) crawfish.

  7. Add potatoes, lemons, and garlic halves to the boiling water.

  8. Once boiling, add onion and cook 5 min.

  9. Add crawfish and cook 5 min.

  10. Turn heat off, add sausage, mushrooms, and corn. Stir and let sit 25 min.

  11. Scoop out crawfish and everything else from the liquid.

  12. Serve on a large tray with plenty of paper towels. Enjoy!
