Ingredients
2 T unsalted butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped celery
1/2 Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced
1 T minced garlic
1/8 cup dry white wine
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 cup chopped black walnuts
1/2 loaf rye bread, cubed and toasted
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 egg
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
Preparation
Melt butter, add celery, onion, apple, and garlic.
Add salt, pepper, and dry white wine. Simmer.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine celery mixture with bread.
Add walnuts, parsley, chicken broth, and egg.
Grease a baking dish.
Place in baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 20 min.
Remove foil and cook 10 min to brown on top.
